Meet The Team

First-N-Ten is owned by Dansons, a family-run business owned and operated in Scottsdale, Arizona, renowned for its industry-leading grill brands.

Founded in Canada in 1999 by Dan Thiessen and his sons (Dan + Sons), Dansons had the vision of turning the waste of sawmills into a reliable source of energy. Expanding to horse and animal bedding to pellet fuel and pellet fuel appliances ultimately led to the founding of Pit Boss Barbecues and Louisiana Grills. Through their widespread success in Canada, the US, and abroad, the family made the move to Scottsdale, Arizona - their former vacation destination while living in Canada - to continue building their business.

Today, Dansons is a best-in-class global consumer goods corporation that is proudly family-owned and managed, with a reputation of reliability, authenticity, dependability, and honesty. As the home of multiple award-winning, consumer-backed bands, the family consistently strives for quality and customer satisfaction in every area of business.

Dan and his sons, Jeff and Jordan, work and share lunch together every day at Dansons’ corporate office in Scottsdale, Arizona, with all three of their offices only a few feet apart.

Dan and his wife, Virginia, are proud parents of four children — Jeremy, Jeff, Jordan, and Julie. Over the years, their family has grown to include 16 grandchildren.

Additionally, all three families attend Church together every Sunday and frequently share large family meals afterward.
